Hike in dollar inflow from abroad
22 April, 2010 – Bhutanese living and working abroad sent home Nu 144.6M (USD 3M) as remittances through the banking system in 2008-09, a growth of almost 86 percent from the previous year.

The increase was mainly driven by an 85 percent rise in USD denominated remittances, according to data released by the royal monetary authority (RMA).    [read more]
