The results of the 2009 Bhu­tan Higher Secondary Edu­cation Certificate Examina­tions (BHSEC) show a slight improvement. The aggregate pass percentage has risen by 0.82 points, from 85.60 per­cent in 2008 to 87.35 percent in 2009.

Inflation drops 3.89%
Inflation dropped to 4.41 percent in 2009 from 8.305 percent in 2008. The first quarter of the year (January-April) saw the highest inflation of 7.21 percent.
