Wangchu Incident1 August, 2009 – The muddy and foamy waters of the Wangchu have submerged the rock on which the seven schoolboys spent their last panic stricken hours.
About 30 feet away and slightly upstream is the other rock, almost two metres wide, on which the rescue team stood. Only a portion of it is visible. There is no riverbank, but there are boulders and stones of different sizes that make it a difficult walk. [read more]

Police said that, on the night of July 25, the class 12 student had gone to the town to collect a book from one of the accused.
