Sitting by the chorten on a hilltop that offers a sweeping view of the last horizon, the self same chorten where she bade her daughter adieu 5 years ago. She tries to drive away every stranger, raining them with stones, sticks, mud and whatever she can lay her hands upon. Our Body Bag Common Skin Queries
15 December, 2008 - Skin is the largest organ of our body and most of us take it for granted unless a wrinkle, pimple, dryness or rash rouses attention. Dermatologist Dr Pema Rinzin answers some of the most common skin queries.

1. Acne and acne marks in one’s 20’s

This is the age group when acne or pimple eruptions occur, especially on the face, back and chest. Oily skins are more prone to acne or pimples. These pimples heal with pigmented spots/marks on the skin due to inflammation. Acne can also heal with depressed or hypertrophied scars. The remedy would be to reduce oiliness of the skin by washing the affected area twice or thrice a day with a mild soap. There are creams to reduce oily skin and pimples. If the acne is extensive, oral medication may be necessary.    [read more]
