27 November, 2007 - Professor Robert Thurman is a widely known geshey in the west and is highly regarded by Buddhists all over the world.
He is the Je Tsongkhapa Professor at Columbia University in New York and describes himself as a rim, or a non-sectarian non-partisan follower of Tibetan Buddhism.

He spoke to Kuensel about democracy, Buddhism and on the talk “Dharmaraja - The Buddhist Ethic of Kingship, according to Nagarjuna’s Rosary of Jewels.”

26 November, 2007 - The past few weeks have been a never-ending gruelling period for 16-year old Sonam Dema. With the board exams commencing from December 1, she had literally pored hours over her books.

Serious and hardworking by nature, she has revised her syllabus twice, solved numerous sample papers, and even hoisted a lungdhar (prayer flag). “Now all I need to do is go to Dechenphug and pray that I don’t spoil my papers,” she said.
